Christina Villarreal-Davis, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S, NCC

Dr. Villarreal-Davis is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor (LPC-S), a Registered Play Therapist and Supervisor (RPT-S), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She received her Master’s degree in Community Counseling from St. Mary’s University in 2002 and her Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University in 2007. She has over 23 years of experience in working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples with various emotional and behavioral concerns, to include depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, grief and loss, couples and marital concerns, behavioral concerns, ADHD, parenting, adjustment issues, and children in foster care. She specializes in working with children utilizing Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) as well as enhancing parenting skills through Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT). Dr. Villarreal-Davis is a member of the Association for Play Therapy, the Texas Association for Play Therapy (TAPT), the American Counseling Association, the Southern Association for Counselor Educators and Supervisors, the Texas Counseling Association, the Texas Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, and the American Association of Christian Counselors. She has also served on various boards and is currently the Past-President of TxAPT. Additionally, she is an Associate Professor at Liberty University in the Department of Counselor Education & Family Studies. In her free time, Dr. Villarreal-Davis enjoys spending time with her family, playing sports, working out at Orange Theory, outdoor activities, traveling, reading, and learning!
