DESCRIPTION: This professional course provides an introductory exploration of Relational Life Therapy (RLT), offering therapists the tools and knowledge to apply this transformative approach in their practice. Participants will delve into the roots and modern influences of RLT, learn the five core principles that shape therapeutic interventions, and master the essential skill of relational mindfulness. The course will also cover key concepts such as the parts of the self (Wounded Child, Adaptive Child, Wise Adult) and how RLT differs from traditional couples therapy by effectively addressing issues like grandiosity and taking sides when necessary. Additionally, therapists will be trained to guide couples from individual empowerment (power over) to relational empowerment (power with), fostering healthier, more connected relationships. Finally, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the three phases of RLT, learning how to navigate each phase with clear goals and therapeutic intentions. This course equips clinicians with both the theoretical understanding and practical skills to transform relationships using the RLT model.
